Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week Recap Day 1

Day 1 of Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week did not disappoint. There were many obvious trends shown in this first group. The first takes cue from a NY Best Seller, there were many different shades of Grey on the runway, as well as muted tones like Camel, blacks and whites. The Colors that were a stand out were made of Jewel Tones in Ruby, Sapphires and emeralds. Menswear was another big trend, with pantsuits and constructed blazers. Finally, there was the romance. With elegant lace overlays, flowing skirts, and fur.
The two stand out accessories were the beanie and a version of thigh high leg warmers.

BCBGMaxAzria showed beanies, fur, and those hot, hot, leg warmers

Candela showed romance in blush lace gowns and skirts. Note the use of beanies, yet again.

Kenneth Cole showed 50 shades of grey with leather and a menswear flair...

Nicholos K.  showed us fierce in jewel tones, fur and a new take on the genie pant.

Richard Chai Love gave it to us all. Menswear, jewel tones, lace and grey.

Sergio Davila gave us leggings and leather

Timo Weiland does menswear inspired looks like no other..

Finally, the belle of the ball goes to Tadashi Shoji with his beautiful lace lined gowns in decadent jewel tones.
